Did you change the 3/4 to 6/8? The notation doesn't change. Select the 3/4. Select 6/8 from the time signature palette.

Guess I wasn't clear. I want to halve the note values and change to 6/8

Except if you don't want the rests in the pick-up measure, you can create a new guitar score with the proper 8th note rest pick-up measure and time signature. Then copy the notes in the original score. In the new score, select the initial 8th rest and CTRL (CMD)+SHIFT+Q.

I think, It is better to use "Cut" instead of "Copy". And you should not cut out the upbeat but adjust it by hand instead. As the number of measures is also halved, the back half of the score will otherwise remain as it was.
And you will probably also have to adjust the tempo accordingly, as the score now plays at twice the speed.

When I did it, Copy work perfect. I didn't have to do anything with the up beat. It was included.
You do need to change the tempo to 60.

Youp. It worked just fine except for leaving a bunch of junk at the end which I just deleted. Easy once I found the way to copy at half. That is rather hard to remember.

Maybe it is a different behavior in MuS 4. In MuS 3.x you have to do what I described.
Otherwise I get the following wrong upbeat measure:

This is fine.
MuS 3 does not process the upbeat correctly, no matter which method I use.

That almost looks like you copied back into the original score. I set up a new blank score.

Yes, I did.

May or may not be quicker, but not as clean.
