playback
I just installed the new version of musescore and now I can not hear any playback.
If anyone can tell me how to hear it, I also want to know how to slow it down so I can check my chords.

See if going to Edit ==> Preferences ==> I/O Tab and changing the Audio device works. Hope this helps.

Thank you Karol. I am embarassed to admit that the cord to the speakers was unplugged. How do I start the playback in the middle of the score to check on a small part instead of always starting at the begining?

Does selecting any measure in the middle of the score and pressing the space bar not work? That's what I do in MuS 3.6.2 (cannot use version 4).

Yes that worked fine until I foolishly downloaded the newest version. NOw i have discovered that I can highlight the lowest line of the score, press the capitliying button and then extend the highlight to the entire score.
Much more complkicated. Othersie I get a play back of a single instrument.

If you want to hear playback of all instruments from a particular place, just select one note, not a measure. Playback of all instruments will start from that point. This is as it has always been.
