Playback Delay
I've seen some other posts about this, but they seem to have gone dormant, so I thought I'd bring it up again. When using Muse Sounds, there is a delay at the very beginning of the score, and the first notes often don't play in sync with each other. This is only an issue with Muse Sounds: Switch to MS Basic, and the sound quality isn't as "pretty," but everything is in perfect synchronisation.
I could attach a score if that would help, but to be honest, it is every single score. Even if I'm writing for solo instrument, there is a delay on the attack of the first note.

For starters, please go to the download page and see if your computer meets the specs needed to run MS4. Either way, there may be some system settings that need to be adjusted.

Thanks for pointing me in this direction. I'm working on a MacBook Air, and I have the minimum amount of RAM (8 GB) and the recommended CPU (8 cores). So yes, I do meet the required specifications. Any idea what sort of system settings I should adjust?

I don't know how to check them on a Mac. But you might start by going to, in the program, Edit>Preferences>I/O. Set the Buffer to 4096, and make sure you audio device is selected. Not just "Default".
