Slurs/legato on sawtooth synth

I'm not sure if this is a limitation of musescore or my soundfont, but I can't get a nice legato sound out of my synth. I'm looking to get it so it will like sort of scoop/slide to the next note, as if sluring on a wind instrument or sliding on a guitar, and I swear that it's possible to do that on a synth but I just can't remember how. I tried slurs, tenutos, fucking GUITAR BENDS, but nothing works. If I don't have any notation it just full stops between each note and it sounds too clunky for what I'm looking for.
