Creating Score in Tabs
I'm new to Musescore and am trying to write out a song in tabs for guitar. When I open a new sheet it opens in standard music notation. How to I open a file to work with tabs? Thank you.

At what step did you encounter problems?
Personal opinion: You would be best off creating a linked pair of staves: one standard notation, the other tab. Whichever you actually USE, you'll have both.

Simple: use the Template "Guitar Tablature" when creating a new score (Solo category), see: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/create-your-first-score#create-score
In this category, there is "Guitar" (ie Standard notation only), Guitar + Tablature (Standard + Linked TAB staff), Guitar Tablature (TAB staff only), and Piano
