Static in the sound when playing the score
I just downloaded the Muse Score Studio 4.3 yesterday and imported a music XML score. When playing back the file I hear a lot of static. Same thing happens when I am playing back sample scores I downloaded with Muse Score Hub. When I export the score with all the instruments as a wave file I don't hear the static.
Any suggestions? Do I need to do something in the settings or something?
I have Surface Book 3 with 1T hard drive and 32 GB RAM.
Thanks,
Salil

Based on this recommendation here, https://musescore.org/en/node/339915, I increased the buffer size to 4096 and seems like that has fixed the issue. Thanks,

For a larger score the problem still exists.

Thanks. Yes, I changed the level on Master, brought it down a bit and that seems to have taken care of.
Although one of the suggestions I couldn't find on Windows 11, "Right click on the speaker icon in the taskbar. Select "Sounds". In the popup select "Playback". Make sure the audio device you are using in MuseScore is checked in this window. Click next to the icon and select the "Properties" button. In the new popup, select "Advanced". Here you can uncheck "exclusive Mode" and also take the bit rate down a notch."

Yeah, I should probably update those. I get to the sound settings directly through Control Panel. I use Control Panel a lot and have it saved on my taskbar. Anyway, in W11, hit the search icon in the middle of the taskbar. Type "con" and you should see a link to Control Panel. Select that and then you should see the Sound Icon. The instructions should be the same from there on.
