I need help with the intensity of the dynamics

When I use intermediate dynamics, such as PP and FF, I notice that they are too intense for my real intention. It's as if PP sounds like PPP (or even PPPP). I want to modify the strength with which the dynamics act while maintaining the notations I need in order to make the dynamics more gradual. In previous versions I know there were options that solved this. In the version I'm using, I can't find anything like that. I use version 4.3.2.241630831, the last update as of the date of this message. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?
