Repeats don't work on playback

I can't seem to get the repeat to work during playback. I have already checked the "Play Repeats" on the Settings dropdown.

There are two ways to add repeats, with the "Repeats & Jumps" or with the "Barllines" menus. Does one make the playback work, and the other doesn't?
