Exporting individual voices from Barbershop score

• Aug 9, 2024 - 15:19

I use the Barbershop style in Musescore 4. Previously (in V3), I could use the mixer to select any individual score and export it, but when we switched to V4, the mixer won't let me separate individual scores, only individual staffs), for example, Tenor-Lead together, and Bari-Bass together. V3 has a silence voice section on the panel, which doesn't seem to exist in V4.

How can I export an individual voice???? (or even play & capture in Audacity) ??????

Since I can't open a M4 score in M3, I'm stuck. We use the export so individual singers can hear * learn their own parts.

I really miss this capability. Is there any work-around????

Thanks in advance.

You're right. This need to be fixed.

In the meantime, add a blank staff under the T/L, and another under the Ba/Bs. Then use Tools>Explode to separate the voices. Or, if you are entering the song yourself, enter the notes in four staves, generate your parts audio, and use Implode to combine the staves. Save the formatting, text and lyrics for last.
