As the fretboard diagram itself doesn't 'transpose' (but see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/23712), that'd result in pretty bad mismatches between the diagram and the chord symbol

Are you saying a translation of the chord symbol (e.g. from B to H) needs transposition?

Ah sorry, I read transpose rather that translate
The tooltip is translated. not the actual chord symbol though (B -> H, Bm -> Hm, B7 -> H7)

In 4.4 (Beta, RC, or any recent development build)?
The translationes are updated for that only since a few weeks, no longer for 4.3

No, I use 4.3.2. So does the tooltip show an H in 4.4?

It does for German, I'm too lazy to check for sv_SV, but I wouldn't know why not

It does show H in the tooltip also in sv_SV. Problem solved.
