File Corrupted after Laptop Suddenly Shut Down
Laptop shut down suddenly but I presssed save before it shut down yet file was corrupted...how can I fix this? I mean i haven't made much progress but if this keeps up, I might have to move to another notation software if it's this fragile

Then do so and we will see if we can repair the file.
Also take a look at the hidden ".mscbackup" folder in your score folder.
Hopefully you can recover your file but going forward please consider file versioning for all important computer documents, (not just music scores), and you will mitigate losses due to corruption, theft, dead computer, etc.

Is it just a coincidence that you clicked "Save" and at that moment the laptop turned off? How much time passed between these two events?
I ask because it is very difficult to reproduce the problem with the Musescore file corruption. Users often complain about broken files.
