Musescore 3 Vs. Musescore 4
Hello!
I have yet to switch from Musescore 3 to Musescore 4. The reason is that when I did attempt to change, none of my previous scores composed in Musescore 3 were compatible with Musescore 4. So, if I used 4, I couldn't revisit any prior work. Has this problem been considered or solved? And if so, can someone let me know the solution?

Scores last saved in Mu3 can get opened in Mu4 (and always could). But not vice versa!
But for that you might use my MuseScore 3.7 Evolution, it can open Mu4 scores.
No, newer versions of Musescore can easily open scores that were created with older versions. Only the reverse is not possible, except with Musescore 3.7.

The reverse is also possible by saving as an mxl file. Or un-zip with 7zip an open the resulting mscx file.

The latter was possible in some earlier 4.x versions, now it requires removing a certain tag, also that method loses all style settings. Easier is to use my MuseScore 3.7 Evolution
