Version 4.4.3.2429... (Mac) Ties?
After installation I am no longer able to create ties by typing T, although it is still listed as a Shortcut in the Preferences. In fact I can't find any way to create a tie. Advice?

If the 'T' shortcut is correctly defined in Preferences / Shortcuts, it should work, as is the case here (Windows10) with 4.4.3. Possibly, after selecting this shortcut, type "Reset to default" (bottom right of the Shortcuts window) ?
Otherwise, you can always create ties via the toolbar (the icon of the two tied notes, next to that of the three slurred notes) - image below.

I can confirm: the 'T' shortcut for add tie is broken for me on the mac on the latest version. Adding a tie using the tie button on the menu still works, but the shortcut is really essential to my way of working.

Have you tried to define another shortcut for the tie (in Preferences/Shortcuts) ?

I'm having the same problem on my Mac. I can't get the tie button to work either though. I've tried to follow the redefine suggestion but still no luck. Trying to copy a hand-written score, my first ever attempt using MuseScore 4 after watching Marc Sabatella's great first video for MuseScore 4. I need to tied an eighth note to a whole note. And these are the first two bars of the piece. Very frustrating!
Same problem, and if I redefine the shortcut as "T" it works fine.

Huh?! But what was the shortcut you cleared to redefine as "T" ? The previous "+" perhaps?

Ah, ok. I redefined the existing shortcut 'T' to 'T' (?!?) and it now works.
