Won't play first bar....

• May 10, 2025 - 20:02

This is my first score since installing the latest update. It's also my second attempt at a completely new score trying to get the first bar to play. As it is, I have to add an empty bar to get the music to start on the second one. It works, but I don't want to submit it for a book until it's right—not compromised to make work. MXLs and MP3s are included in the books. I don't want to have a workaround published in Project Gutenberg for the next 100 years that isn't right.

Anyone know what's going on here?

Thanks for all your help. You are all always awesome!

I ended up deleted all my MuseScore installations from years ago and intend on installing the older version I was using. The latest one produces the same results with a new score input.

I'm tired now. Senseless to push on without a nap and something to eat. I'll only make it worse.

My computer geek son is helping me. I'll let you know when I have more news.

Thanks for everything, Shoichi. You're the BEST! <3

It's supposed to be woodwinds, but I didn't see a single stave for them. It wants to show two staves, one of which I don't want included in the MXL. Just changing one thing at a time and what I ended up with.

The current version of MuseScore works with Basic, not MuseSounds. That came from Jojo. I'll be reporting it MuseHub right away.

Thanks for being part of the team!

This seems to be an issue with Muse Strings (and even there only with Violoncellos, not with Violonchello (Solo)), it isn't an issue with MS Basic,
So I guess something to report at MuseHub

I ended up reinstalling the current version of MuseScore, and it works fine with MS Basic. Not as lovely a sound; however, I have a project to get off to the postprocessor.

I'll report it to MuseHub also.

Thanks, Jojo. As usual, you are a fountain of knowledge and keen discernment. <3

The book requires and extra 1/16 note rest in there too. I got it in the the final MXL.

The zipped file is what gets sent on to the postprocessor.

The things I to make me happy! <3
