Nested Repeas?
Hello!
First, thank you for MuseScore - it is fantastic!
My question: I have a song with multiple versus, and also a chorus, and the chorus itself has two "versus". I'd like to have a verse played, followed by the chorus (with repeat), then back to the 2nd verse, then to the chorus (with repeat), and so on. I can't seem to get this to work. I thought that nested pairs of repeat signs would do it, but it doesn't. The attached mscz and screenshots have a short example that illustrates what I'm trying to do.
Thank you,
Alex

Nested repeats are not a thing in normal music notation. Use a D.C or D.S. See https://handbook.musescore.org/notation/repeats/jumps-and-markers

Steve,
Thanks for the pointer. I have looked at that section of the manual, and I've used D.S. a lot. So that almost does what I'm trying to do, but: is there a way to make it take the jump from the D.S. back to the segno more than once? I haven't been able to find that.

Yes, use more than one D.S. or D.C. and hide the surplus. In every D.S. or D.C. check the "Play repeats" box.
I've edited the text to "2 x D.C. con. rep." for the musicians.
(Done with 3.7)

Easiest way is to simply roll-out the internal repeat.
Don't used nested repeats because they often lead to confusion. Try breaking your piece into sections and writing them out such as A A B A C C B A D etc. then you might be able to see a pattern or, at least, post here and it makes it easier for other to help.
Simple repeats don't nest, period.
