Problems Opening files with .Mus extension
Please help...I was told that version 4.5 would allow me to open up my files with .mus extensions but this is not the case. Please advise.

Don't believe everything you're told
The old Finale .mus format is proprietary and can only be read by Finale or the free Finale Notepad. It might be a problem to get Notepad, since Finale is dead.

Yet .musx also won't be read by MuseScore directly, for that use MusicXML (.xml, .mxl or .musicxml)

Exactly. Thats not the case. No advice, simply not true.
.mus has been extension for very old Capella Files as well. Musescore cannot read *.mus in any case.
Could you upload one of your files? Maybe i can convert it, i have old Capella versions, Just in case.
