Tablature only section
Can there be a section of a score that only has the tablature staff?
I want to notate a guitar solo in tablature only, but the rest of the score has both standard notation and tablature.

Thanks, I see that it's possible! Can the TAB be entered manually?
Right now, the tab is generated automatically when I enter standard notation above the TAB staff.

Thanks, the video is helpful!
Note: I needed to restart MuseScore to get it to respond properly. It was not recognizing numbers entered on my keyboard until I closed and reopened the program.

"Right now, the tab is generated automatically when I enter standard notation above the TAB staff."
Because your staves were linked. But you can choose to simply add an unlinked TAB staff to the standard notation staff (in my example, I've created two instruments, so it's another choice, no matter...)
In any case, your two staves are independent, and all you have to do is copy and paste when you need both staves filled, or simply enter the TAB staff alone (for the solo), all before hiding the empty staves.
