Sound Quality Issue
Hi Everyone,
When I listen to playback or export audio files from MuseScore the sound seems to be distorted, i.e. scratchy and fuzzy. I've tried different volume and tone levels with the same result. I know from previous posts that this might be an issue with the program. I've tried listening to exported files on different devices without any improvement. Audacity doesn't seem to fix the issue. It also might be the sound card on my computer. Attached is a score, as well as an exported sound file, for reference. Please let me know what you think. Mea culpa, I'm still using Muse Score 2.3.1, so this problem might have been solved in later versions.
Thanks.
David

On my system, this sounds like your recording using 3.6.2 as well as 4.5.2 using Basic sounds. Seems to sound OK using Muse sounds. No idea what it means. Except I was never so happy as to leave Basic sounds behind.

Thank you. It should be good enough for my purposes. David
That Moprheus.ogg sounds fine on my Laptop, not distorted nor scratchy or fuzzy. Actually it is quite loud, in Audacity it looks "normalized" (i.e. 0db for the loudest parts). But thats still ok. I think, you have a problem with your sound(card). It does not look like a Musescore issue.

Thank you for checking it. That's a big help. David
It sounds typical of Basic chorus sounds. A better test would be most any other Basic sound.
