Nuance pop-up?

I just entered the ff nuance in the violin part. Every time I add a nuance a pop-up window with nuances appears. It's in the way when I want to click a note in the piano's upper part (so that it is placed between the two piano staffs. If I click the lower piano staff the nuance will be placed under that staff.)
I need to click outside the pop-up window to make it disappear, in order to be able to click on a note in the piano's upper part.

I think the pop-up nuance window is good when I want to change a nuance by clicking it, but not when I just have entered a nuance. It's not likely that I want to change the nuance one second after I have entered it.

Is it possible to make the pop-up nuance window not appear after having entered a nuance, but still allowing it to appear when clicking a nuance?
