Annoyance: Placement of Articulations/Ornaments

• Nov 1, 2008 - 15:54

Musescore 0.9.4 r1221
Qt 4.4.3
Fedora Core 8

If I have a closed voicing chord and place a portamento or other articulation on a lower note, the articulation will appear above the selected note, which is right on top of one of the other voice notes. It is then impossible to grab the articulation to move it to a more suitable location. Attempts to select it always select the note that it's on top of (or apparently underneath). Zooming in to maximum zoom I still can't grab the articulation. Mouse clicks always grab the nearest note.

See the attached. The articulation is in pink. I cannot grab it with the mouse no matter where I click on it, and Musescore insists on placing the articulation there for the bottom note in the chord.

In rev. 1228 selected articulations can be moved with up/down arrow keys. In addition articulations are selected after creation with double click on a palette symbol.
This means you now should be able to move an articulation symbol to the right place just after creation even if not visible.
