Multiple Key Signature Changes

• Nov 9, 2014 - 17:42

I'm currently using 1.3 but do have 2.0 Beta installed.

I'm writing a lead sheet that has four key changes. Starts in Db then goes to Bb, D and finally B. I drop them into the measure but they don't stay. I apologize if this has been discussed in length before. I found some discussions on this but pertaining mostly to orchestration.

Yes, that's it.

Edit: I believe I figured it out.

The issue was, I could not enter any key signatures on the second page. I solved this by Style>General>Page and checking Create Key Signatures for all systems and then used the Debugger to make the unwanted key signatures invisable.

To remove the naturals from the added key signatures: Style>General>Accidentals and checking Only For Change to CMaj / Amin.

If these methods are incorrect perhaps someone can correct me.

It would help if you showed what you are trying to do. From your description, I might guess you are trying to copy the "real book" style of lead sheet where key signatures were omitted from most staves, and that is why you had previously turned off the "create key signatures" option. But that will indeed mean that even key changes won't display. So your method is the only way I can think of to get that effect.
