Changing tempo of individual measure(s) crashes application

Whenever I try to change the tempo for an individual measure (say, from 3/4 to 1/4), the application shuts down. I right click on the measure, go to Measure Properties, change the first number in the "Actual" section for Measure Duration, and then when I hit OK the application shuts down. I'm using MuseScore version 1.3, revision 5702 on a Mac computer (OS X Yosemite).

There is a known issue with MuseScore 1.3 on Mavericks & later MacOS release that causes this crash. It's already been fixed for 2.0. Meanwhile, while waiting for 2.0 to be released, you can downgrade MuseScore to 1.2, which seems to work better on Mavericks & Yosemite.
