Zoom behavior instead of tie

Steps to reproduce bug
1. Create new score
2. Add two notes of the same pitch
3. Leave note entry mode
4. Click to select the first of the two notes
5. Add a tie using the shortcut: Ctrl++ (in case it matters, this actually Ctrl+Shift+= on the US keyboard layout)
6. Click on an empty part of the page

Expected behavior: Tie should appear between the first and second notes

Actual behavior: No tie is added in step 5. When you click on the page in step 6, the score zooms in. On the toolbar, the zoom menu still says 100% even though the zoom level is actually higher than 100%.
