Bugs connecting notes
Hi there,
I tried it a thousand times (at least) but still I don't get it.
When I want to connect a 1/16th note on the 1 followed by a 1/8 note on the 1e I'll still get the result you can see on screenshot one.
Of course the 1/16 note on the 1 must have two flags and not only one since it is a 1/16 note.
the only way to show it is this on screenshot two.
Several people sent me the result as it should be and I can open it here...but it still doesnt work on my computer.
Can anybody help please?
Any sttings wrong?

Also please tell us which Version of MuseScore and what Operating system

Please be more explicit about 'latest version", with the nighly builds this is pretty much a moving target.
Anyway, I can open the file with MuseScore 1.3, so I guess you meant that?

And there I see it too, indeed. 16th and 8th in bass drum, the 16th loses the 2nd flag when beamed.
And the same happens in the latest nightly build (008dfe2)

have you checked the beam preferences?
I would bet that in your case "Broken beam minimum length" is set to 0.0sp.
Try to use these parameters:
Beam thickness: 0.5sp
Beam distance: 50%
Broken beam minimum length: 1.32sp

Yes.
Sorry, I thought you were using the Nightly Builds. In MuseScore 1.3 the path to this preference is slightly different, but you reached it even with my (slightly wrong) directions :-)
Now, try to change:
0.05 to 0.3 or 0.5
0.5 (leave it as it is)
0.1 to 1.25 or 1.32
and you will see the difference.
The problem lies in this third number, which is the minimum length of the broken beam. Since it is set to a very small value, the beam is there, but it so short that it melts into the stem.
