In an organ fugue I am currently composing, a wrote a six bar long pedal point, that is six semibreves tied together. Only the first two semibreves play, the other four are silent.
What version of MuseScore, can you attach the score here?
Also don't assign to yourself, unless you plan to fix it yourself, and critical is reserved for crashes and corruption. And probably you should discuss this problem in the forum rather than in the issue tracker, which is to track bugs...
