How do you make 2 notes of different values insert (like a divisi)?

I want to add a snare note for the same beat with 2 different values. How do I do this?
Also, I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum. I kinda downloaded this about 4 minutes ago and couldn't find it in the manual...
