MuseScore 2.0 Beta 2:

In page view different measure numbers occur when there is a pickup bar in the beginning of the score.
When you mark an element in a bar, the screen measure number is one less than the number shown in the bottom infoline of the screen.
It's quite confusing.
The question is whether to omit the measure number of the pickup bar or not.
In some printed scores the pickup bar doesn't have a measure number, so perhaps it is the correct way to it?
It is important that the numbers correspond to eachother.

Comments

I would like to make a header which had an information of the title and instrument/ part name.

When you have a part of more than one page, is is very convenient to have this information printed on the next pages after the first one.

Guess this is supposed to be 2 different issues...
Actually this is 2 different questions and as such should get posted in the forum, not the issue tracker.

For a pickup measure you can exclude it from measure count, check http://musescore.org/en/node/36106#other.
However, the info line still counts all measures, including the pickup one(s), not sure whether this is intentional or a bug.

The part name is available in Header/Footer in the nightly builds, see #36981: Description of Partnames in Header/Footer
