Ability (and shortcut) to place pictures behind staff
I like the fact that we can add images into the sheet music, but when adding images, they are displayed over the score, which makes it hard to edit the staves under them. I often include drawings in my self-published music and would love to be able to either show only the placeholder of the image or push it behind the sheet music.

No, simply so the graphic doesn't obscure MuseScore's work...

If you are referirng to the final output, making the image transparent should solve that. But that won't help while editing, so best I can suggest is wait until the end to place images that might obscure other elements.
