Musescore 0.9.5 on Macbook with OSX 10.5.8

Works fine until I enter triplets and then try to save at which point it hangs (becomes unresponsive). If I force quit with process monitor and restart, the mscz file is corrupted. This only happens when I use triplets.

Please give step-by-step instructions (What kind of triplets? Are you starting from a new score? What buttons/keys do you press for each step? see How to report bug or ask for support )

There is a good chance it is already fixed in the latest [[nodetitle:Comparison of stable, prerelease, and nightly builds|prerelease or nightly build]] .

This is creating a new score. I am writing a single part for tenor saxophone. I select a blank bar, add a minim rest, choose the Notes menu -> Tuplets -> Trilpets for both minim rests. This creates the triplet timing. Then I add 3 triplet crotchets followed by a triplet dotted minim. Then I save the file and I get the spinning colour disk for about 10 mins. It does eventually return to the standard mouse cursor but any further activity i.e. click background, select notes, add note etc.. results in another 10 min wait. If I let it time out and then close Musescore, the file remains intact. If I SIGKILL the file is corrupt.

I have searched the database for similar faults but not found any.

I'm not able to reproduce the hang with 0.9.5 stable or the latest nightly. Be sure to include the details of every step (when do you enter or leave note entry mode? do you add notes using the mouse, computer keyboard, MIDI keyboard, etc.?)

Sometimes a screenscast can help.

I've attached a screenshot. I was able to move all the notes in bars 36 to 43 ( changing pitch from the sax part to the trumpet part) then I selected the navigation pane in the bottom left to move the view up and it froze again for about 10 mins. All editing has been done with the mouse, no midi device attached.

OK it looks like there will be no resolution so I've found a workround by inserting 5/4 and 6/4 bars and hiding the time signature text, then using staff text for the triplet indicators.

jazzzzdude, if you are able to reproduce in the latest prereleases, please reopen.
