Control-Select crashes MuseScore

I seem to crash MuseScore about every 5 minutes by inadvertently control-selecting elements that apparently aren't meant to be control-selected (a note with it's typed chord, or measures I meant to shift-select for example), or copy/pasting things in some way that crashes the program.
