Page position goes back to top whenever I select a note.
I don't know if there's any way around this, but when writing a score with more instruments than can fit on the screen at a time, it makes the software almost unusable.

I don't understand what you mean - this doesn't happen for me. What version of MuseScore, what OS? Can you post the specific score you are having problems with and precise step by step instructions to reproduce the problem?
