Automatic Double Whole Notes?!?
Hi. Me again. So, I'm trying to tie two whole notes together, but they automatically become a double whole note. I don't want this, and I want just two whole notes tied together. Any ideas how to turn this option off? Thanks!

Could this be a bug? It only occurs with specific instruments. Flute, Picc., Oboe and Bassoon is fine but with everything else a double whole note is made
In order to help, we would need you to post the specific score you are having problmes with and precise step by step instructions on how to reproduce the problem. In general, there is no special option the turns tied whole notes into a double whole note. Entering a double whole note would be possible only if the time signature supported it, but you'd have to ask for it specifically by selecting that duration. If you are pressing the tie button but not getting a tie, sounds like sound is indeed wrong, but we'd need the score and steps to say more.
In your score, did you check the check box "Style | General | Score | Display note value across measure bars" ?
If you did, what you report is expected behaviour, infact the purpose of that check box is precisely this. Uncheck it and you will get your two tied semibreves.
If you didn't check that box, than something is wrong indeed! Posting the score would help in dicovering where the problem is.
