Volume issues (on Mac?)
When playing a work back to listen to it, can only hear when headphones are plugged in and volume is turned nearly all of the way up. When headphones are removed (unplugged), cannot hear music/sound at all even with volume turned all the way up.
Not sure if this is a problem native only to mac interface or across the board.

It's not a problem in general. Does this happens with all scores or just some? Can you post one secific score you are having problems with? Maybe it is just a very quiet score (dynamic set to pp, for instance). Also check your overall volume level in View / Synthesizer. Should be set around 30, I think.
Also check to see if your Mac has a system mixer that controls the volume for different applications, and if so, be sure MuseScore is not turned way down. I know Windows has something like this, don't know about Mac.
Finally, try following the instructions for "Revert to factory settings" in the Handbook.
