When the Piano keyboard view is open in 2.0.2, it displays notes on the keyboard as being pressed when unpitched percussion parts (e.g. Bass Drum, snare) are playing notes. Bass Drum hits are registered as playing B1 on the keyboard: Screen Shot 2015-08-05 at 19.31.50.png

But the problem is that this interferes with me analysing the chords playing at any moment in my piece for large orchestra using the keyboard. Showing the MIDI note of unpitched percussion is far from useful, and interferes with legitimate use of the keyboard for composition.

You might want to selected all the notehead in the bass drum part (right click, select all similar elements in the same staff) and to uncheck the "play" button in the inspector. This way they will not be played.
If we remove percussion from keyboard, I'm pretty sure someone else will ask to have them back.

Yes, to me, it seems like it would actually be quite valuable to have drum notes display on the keyboard. After all, people might want to use the keyboard to check their drum parts the same way someone else might use it to check his harmonies. Also, it's a nice way to learn the mappings between piano keys and drum notes, which would aid someone wishing to use the piano keyboard to enter drum parts.

But FWIW, while unchecking "Play" for the drum notes does indeed keep them from showing up on the keyboard, simply muting the part in the mixer does not. Maybe it should?
