Sound stops when adding new notes

After an indefinite amount of time, when I add new notes, there is no sound. I can only hear sound when I listen to the whole piece.

Which version of MuseScore are you using? On which platform? Can you give more details?
If you don't have detailed steps to reproduce your problem, it's often better to post your issue on the forum instead of the issue tracker.
