layout

I need to set up a special layout. Look at the attached png. The width is half A4, height maximum of full A4. One bar only, with lyrics. The bars/notes/measures need to be slightly smaller then usual to fit enough measures next to each other, Text smaller. It is like a hymnbook (The example actualy is a hymn to be sung in church) The example was made using sibelius, I have tried and tried but Musescore renderes much larger scores, needing about 50% more space.

This is what i have tried so far. Page setting to custom 105mm x 297mm
Then go into style. Changed several values with page and measure. But below a certain point the score didn't get any smaller. Any hints are welcome,

thanks in advance,

keep well, Ursus

Thanks for all your trouble, but this doesn't quite solve my problems. The vertical spacing between systems could be much smaller. You would still be able to read the score and it would use much less space. I'll keep on trying.

I think I don't understand your problem. Do you have the full page or not ?
MuseScore makes effort to occupy the full space on the page when the music is over a given threshold on the page. If you don't want MuseScore to do this for you, you can set this threshold to 100%. (Style -> Edit style->Page)
See attached file.

Thanks you very much for your input, this version solved almost all requirements. Im sorry if my question was unclear. I just needed to get as much as possible within the confines of half A4. And since print size is prime real-estate, the vertical size also needed to be as small as possible. It is like a hymn book, they are able to cramm a whole verse (notes and lyrics) AND two verses of lyrics on one small page. With your latest version I can now export it as image and import that into my text (scaled if needed).

Thanks again and keep well, Ursus

This only reduces horizontal spacing. I soon run into trouble with the lyrics.
Reducing vertical spacing betwee systeems would solve my problems, scaling down bar-size and font size would also help, but I still haven't found the same results as with sibelius.

Thanks for your trouble,
