Connected Beams over line break doesn't work

Happened on Mac OX X El Capitan, GIT commit: f51dc11

Steps to reproduce:

1. create 2 measures with beamed 8th notes
2. insert a line break after first measure
3. activate last eighth note of first measure and first note for second measure
4. Apply "beam properties" => "Beam middle"

Expected Result:
The beam groups should be connected.

What really happens:
The beam group after the line break moves up to the previous line. The second beam group does not have a beam anymore.
