Is it possible to change the volume or the instrument for each stave of a 4 part piece please

I have written a piece with 4 voices - soprano, alto, tenor and bass. I should like to hear the soprano line with a voice part and the other remaining parts played with a piano with less volume. Is that possible?

Sure, you can! (If you use MuseScore 2.0.0 and above).
You have to add the appropriated DYNAMIC MARKS, from the "Dynamics" Palette (at the Left of the Screen).
So, you can put an F (Forte) at the Soprano staff, and a P (piano) on all the others.
Of course, you have to add the necessary dynamic marks when you want to change those volume (at any part, on any staff, of your piece).
