Change time sig mid piece

Help please!
I'm having a problem with the software crashing every time I try to change the key signature (4/4 to 3/4).
Any idea why??

Which OS, what version of MuseScore, can you share a score giving that Problem, along with s step by step procedure to reproduce?

I was able to get round this using the drag feature.
It was crashing (I think) because I was double clicking the time sig.
(I'm on Mac btw)

There *is* one known bug that could explain what you are seeing: #75861: Time signature change by double-click and after selecting a rest in a minimum 2 pages score causes a crash. There is also #81456: Unpredictable results when copying time signature from one measure to another, which is different but worth mentioning. Both bugs are already fixed in the nightly builds and will be fixed for the next official release.
If neither of these seem like what you are seeing, it would be very helpful if you would attach the score you are having problems with and precise steps to reproduce the crash, so we can investigate and fix it.
