No playback of tied section that doesn't initially appear in note entry

1. Create 4/4 piano score.
2. Enter the same note: Crotchet, minim and crotchet.
3. In Note Entry mode after highlighting the first crotchet on the score (use left key to navigate), tie it (no tie appears), then click tie again (it will work).

Result: The tied section doesn't play.

Using Musescore 1.0.0 pre-release 2 (3949) and Mac 10.4.11.

In 2.0 nightly build (3996):

3. In Note Entry after highlighting the first crotchet on the score (use left key to navigate), no tie appears if you click tie.
4. Come out of Note Entry and click on the first crotchet.

Result: The programme hangs.
