Quarter note Tuplets
In one measure, I would like three quarter note tuplets, followed by a dotted quarter note which in turn is followed by three 16th notes. Every time I attempt the quarter note tuplets (from the beginning of the measure), it defaults to eighth note tuplets. What am I missing here? I understand that if the entire measure doesn’t add up to 4/4 time, I’ll let me know. I simply can’t get past the first three notes.

First enter a note or rest with the time value of the complete tuplet which is a 1/2 note. Then divide this note/rest up into three with Ctrl+3 and you get a triplet with three 1/4 note heads (which have really 1/6 duration).
