"Fix to line" in the Inspector
There is nothing about the "Fix to line" (Inspector) feature in the handbook. What is it used for? One possibility came up in Octave lines: How to affect only one voice .

It's main purpose is for slash Notation, to make that immune against transpositioning
Indeed, it was introduced for slash notation, but I'm quite happy to see someone has found another use for it!
I could also imagine it being used to allow passages of percussion notation on a standard staff.
