In the current nightly build 2.0.3 rev 5123750 there is an option in staff-properties to Never hide the staff. This string is not available for translation.
I also noticed the 2.0.2 version shows the same after updating the language. So English from now on....or will this be taken in considiration to be resolved?
Any news/thoughts on this? I am happy to translate (dutch is currently at 100%) but believe there needs to be a string to translate first:). It would be a shame if this would be left untranslated.
I tried several things in order to get the string in transifex but no success so far.
The problem is as follow:
* Transifex gets the strings from master and this string is not in master anymore.
* We used lupdate --no-obsolete but that's not good. It removes the obsolete strings and this one was in.
* I tried to add it manually and pushed to transifex. It works but t next lupdate, no-obsolete option or not, the string is removed.
I will try further. If someone has a better idea, let me know.
Not necessarily a better idea, a bit more radical even: Have Transifex not get them from master but always from 'the-upcoming-release-branch', currently 2.0.3?
While it is nice to have translations available for things within master, I wouldn't be bothered a lot by not having them there personally. It is a continuously changing development build after all, in which some texts might-or-might-not be included in a next release.
Some texts might end up in master at a given point, but be thrown out again before a next release. Not bothering the translators with that text actually seems like a plus to me on time-efficiency.

Well spotted. Translations are pushed from the master branch and this branch doesn't have this option but instead a combobox...

In order to get translations right for 2.0.3 we may need to change how these strings get pushed to transifex?

I sure like this idea as well, not sure how difficult this is to implement.
Maybe it would help to put that string into a different context?
I fixed it using jeetee's suggestion. Let's translate 2.0.3 and we will see for next major version...
