In the opening paragraph it says you can export files via File > Save As... (be sure to select MIDI from the list of choices of file types)

I have tried this but everytime I asks for a .mscz file to be exported to a midi file (and .mid is a choice as a file extension), it is saved as an MP3 in iTunes. I have a Yamahaha Clavinova piano that uses midi and would like to convert my files for use on the Yamaha, but no luck. Any suggestions? Thx

We once had an issue like this due to some bogus translation. Should have been fixed long ago though, what version of MuseScore, and what language?

I have been given 8 files generated by Musescore3 in mp3 and mscz format but I need the midi format.
I have downloaded Musescore3, opened an mscz file, ran it but I cannot save as a midi.
