16th note Snare drum parts in-between 8th note hit hits.
Hello! so sorry if this is obvious but I'm trying to write a beat with 16th snare drum hit on the "e" of the 3 only, in-between a steady 8th note hit hat but i can't place any hits on the "e" or "a" (16th's) only on the 8th note beats no matter which notation value i selection.
How can i place just a single snare hit in-between two hit hat hits?

Welcome, Ryan! If I understand correctly, the trick is to add a sixteenth rest on the beat, and then add the note after it. If you need more help, could you attach an image of what you're trying to achieve?
