Updating translations changes workspace from Advanced to Basic
Severity
S2 - Critical
⇒
S1 - Blocker
Updating translations changes workspace from the translated Advanced ("Erweitert" in German) to the untranslated Basic workspace (should be "Einfach" in German). Switching then back to Advanced shows its content translated, but not its name (Basic's content is also translated, but not its name)
Reverting to factory setting brings back the translated Advanced workspace name, but with outdated translations.
So this is basically 2 issues, 1) the unwanted switch to Basic Workspace and 2) the loss or the translated names for Basic and Advanced (and 3) the fact that it it does require a restart for translations to take effect, reported separatly and also true for Inspector)

Fixed in branch master, commit 3b91bfd785
fix #279156: palettes were not updated when changing language
Add proper updating palettes and the workspace translation
both issues still happen, switch from Advanced to Basic and losing the translated name for the workspace

Not for me. I thoroughly tested with German/Russian/English transitions. If you use the latest nightly, could you please attach the gif?
Not sure what I saw there, maybe an INSTALL was needed (I'm not using development builds, i roll my own ;-))
Can't the same thing be done to the Inspektor? I mean to update its translations without the need for a restart
@Jojo do we have the issue asking the Inspector translation update? I remember one, but cannot find :(
Not sure, may have been mentioned in a tangent somewhere, and not in a separate issue?
Maybe #120976: Switching language doesn't also switch instruments and palettes translation?
The 2nd part, lack of translation, is back with latest Beta and current development builds
I believe the reason is not the code, but the translation files.
Funny enough the strings "Advanced" and "Basic" are not on Transifex at all. ("Advanced" is but that is a different string, from prefsdialog.ui)
They were not before either, yet it worked. (maybe they vanished with the addition of --no-obsolete?)
Confirmed, it is important, but not as critical as other issues.
