increasing space between lines moves notes?
This is the latest nightly: 2.0.0 Revision 6d46589 on macosx Mountain Lion 10.8.5
See the attached screenshot1 and note the notes in the B Trumpet staff.
Now I select that staff go into staff properties, and up the Line distance from 1.0sp to 1.5sp
the result is the second screenshot. Note how the G note has become a Bb?
How did that happen? All I wanted is to make the staff look bigger..

Nice try :-), but it doesn't work that way. It isn't clear what that setting is actually for, but it doesn't work for this purpose - you'd need a setting that scales everything in the staff, not just line distance.

Assuming your goal really is to increase the size of just that one staff. If you wanted all staves bigger, that's always been possible - Page Layout / Space.

yes I want to make that one staff more readable (and have the other just as help for locating where I am in the piece :-)
I also found no way to color notes in the nightly?

To color elements use the inspector (F8)
