Don't overwrite newly created scores with same name
If I create a third score with the same name, it rids of the second one.
Using Mac 10.4.11 and 0.9.6.2.

I don't understand... Please give more details. Normally when you save a file, you got a warning before overwriting it.

OK, I've found a simpler way to reproduce this error:
1) Create a piano score.
2) Create a piano score with the exact same details/features (from titles/names to key/time signatures).
Expected result: A second score should be there (with no warning or anything coming up).
Actual result: It overwrites the other - with no warning anyway (it's unsure whether to have this warning come up. See this: http://musescore.org/en/node/7205#comment-20739).

Experiment with including the file extension in the file name when you save. Do you get the warning if you include the extension? Do you get the warning if you do not include the extension?

Don't think it's the same issue :)
By overwrite (sorry for ambiguous word), I don't mean saving - just creating a new score.

Yes, please file a report in the issue tracker.
(Sorry to misunderstand you twice in this thread!)
It took months getting round to it :D
#8953: Second score with same title replaces first score
