BPM modify box by creating tempo doesn't work

r1175 on XP here.
Create - Text - Tempo
You can choose some predefined tempi which works fine. There also is this Box labeled BPM where you should be able to define own tempi. You are not, changing BPM there has no effect.
I also wonder why the textbox above is labeled "Text" and is editable when there is no way to add self defined tempi and why the title bar says "Dialog". But that's not important.
Main point is that there is no way to play a score with standard tempi as 112 bpm or so.

Where did you find that dialog? I was trying to figure out how to set the playback tempo last night. No matter, you can change your playback tempo through the Display-->Playback controls dialog, I think that is what it is called, anyway it is on the Display menu.

Select a note/rest and then click Create->Text->Tempo...
There is a workaround: First create a predefined tempo. Then rightclick on the tempo text and select "Tempo properties". In the popup you can change the tempo.
The tempo dialog is "work in progress" and does not work as expected.
