Help on midi file transcribing
Is there any way I could transcribe a midi (.mid) file completely to strings using MuseScore? Is there something I could do to switch all the music to strings without rewriting the entire song over again? At the moment, I'm simply changing the clefs, but I'd like to have a midi file that is purely strings.

Right click an empty spot in a measure, select Staff Properties, and hit the Change Instrument button. Do this for each staff you wish to change. That's assuming you didn't have the opportunity to select the proper instruments when you created the score - when you talk about "transcribing" a MIDI file, I'm assuming imported it rather than creating a new score from scratch.

Thanks for your help! When I say "transcribing", I'm using the term rather loosely. I'm not a professional or anything, so I doubt I can really transcribe anything on my own. Many Thanks!
